Day 1: Wrap Up

We had a great day today on the slopes. NO INJURIES (other than a few bonked heads and some sore muscles)!! Many people learned to ski or snowboard and it is so amazing watching people try something new and succeed! We know that God loves watching your students have fun and enjoy His beautiful creation! We will keep you posted, but we look forward to a great day tomorrow as well and a safe drive home. Weather looks good so we should be at the church at 9:00p as planned!

Also please make plans to attend our Parent Connection Meeting next Sunday, March 2nd in the Student Zone (Theater) at Point of Grace from 12:30-1:30p. All the important stuff for spring will be there, so you should be too! :) Have a good one and thanks for trusting us with your students!

WE MADE IT SAFE!

We have arrived at the Country Inn and Suites in Woodbury, MN! Everyone is really excited to get on the slopes tomorrow morning and are currently enjoying the warm pool! Look forward to more updates coming soon!

Parent Meeting - Sunday March 2nd

Please make plans to attend our Student Ministries Parent Connection Meeting next Sunday, March 2nd from 12:30-1:30p in the Student Zone (Theater). Come and find out about all the cool stuff that we have planned for your students in the spring, and meet the Student Ministries staff. We want to partner with you and assist you through these important years of raising your children. We value your input and participation, so we hope to see you at the meeting. Refreshments and important information will be served.

No Student Ministries Services This Weekend!

There will be no Student Ministries Services this Sunday (Feb. 24th) because we will be at SNOWFEST '08! If your student is not coming with us to SNOWFEST '08 then please join you in the main service this weekend. (They are finishing up the PUREsex series) If you (or they) would rather not be in the adult service, then they can help out in Children's ministry. Have them talk to Debbie or Jodi at church this weekend to volunteer. We will return to normal service times next Sunday, March 2nd with the start of our new series: MYSPACE.

CHICK NITE!

This weekend is CHICK NITE! Sorry guys... ladies only on this one! Join the female Student Ministries staff on February 1st-2nd from 6pm until 8am the next morning! We will have games, movies, food, prizes and some quality time with other gals from POG. Feel free to encourage your daughter to invite friends too! The cost is $10 at the door but first time friends get in for free! A signed parent permission slip is required for participation in CHICK NITE! Your daughter must arrive no later than 9pm and cannot leave until CHICK NITE is over at 8am on Saturday. Sorry, no exceptions!

Student Ministries South Africa Meeting

If you or your student would like to come with us to South Africa this summer, you will want to be at this meeting! All your questions will be answered and you will be able to get a better idea of where we are going and what we will be doing. Bless Back Project!

This past weekend, you may have noticed that your student came home with some cash! We put over $600 in the hands of 150 students this weekend! IT was awesome! We gave everyone that attended an envelope with money and told them that this was free generosity practice, on us!
There are only 2 rules for this:
1) They cannot spend in on themselves or anyone who goes to Point of Grace
2) They have to tell us what they did with it.
So we set up a website for them to comment on what they did with the money, so be sure your student tells us how God used them this week to bless back! We hope they had a great time!

This weekend we are starting up a new series called Said in (RED) and we will be talking about Jesus' words, and why they are so important that they are printed in red ink. You will not want to miss any week of this series! It's going to be huge!!

No Spark or 4ORTY 2WO until 2008!

We will not be having any Student Ministry services on December 23rd or December 30th so that your student can join you for family Christmas Celebrations. We encourage you to worship together as a family and celebrate Christ's birth and the new life He provides for us! Be sure to attend The DIVINE at Point of Grace on Saturday night, Dec. 22nd at 5:30p or Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30 am or 5:30 or 7:00 pm. From all of us on the Student Ministries Team, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Student Ministries will resume our normal schedule on Sunday January, 6th for the beginning of our new series: Said In (RED). See you in 2008!

SNOWFEST 2008

Don't let your student miss out on the biggest event of the winter! We will be heading up to Afton Alps, Minnesota to enjoy a whole weekend of snowboarding and skiing, great fun and new memories with friends! The cost for this trip is $200 if you have your student has their own equipment and $245 if they need to rent it, and you will need to fill out and sign a permission slip to turn in with your money to hold your student's spot. This trip is going to be a great time for your student to get away and get connected! Charter bus transportation, lodging, most meals and lift tickets are included! If you drop your spot after December 1st, you will be refunded all but $50. There are only 45 spots for this trip and it will sell out, so sign up quick!
