This weekend we will be starting a new series called "HOT TOPICS" discussing God's perspective on some very contemporary issues in our culture. This new series is unique in that it's topics were chosen by the students. During these 4-weeks, we will answer questions that we have been asked directly by students in the Student Ministry such as:
"What happens to people when they die?"
"Is homosexuality wrong?"
"What does the Bible say about abortion?" and
"Why does life hurt so bad sometimes?"
This we be an exciting and revealing series as we look at the Bible's surprisingly clear discussion on what seem to be somewhat "controversial" issues. While the answers are fairly clear, they might not be what we would have expected. Our goal in this series is to impress on the students that these issues only matter because they involve people, and God's greatest desire is for people.
